It really is getting closer to Christmas now as we introduce tip 8 in our “12 tips to Christmas!”  This is a mini survival guide which both business owners and employees may find useful to get them through the festive season without too much trouble!

Tip 8 – Food!

Where employers have organised a Christmas celebratory meal, the issue of checking dietary requirements is perhaps more obvious and something an employer is less likely to forget. However, where employers have opted for a less formal social event of drinks and a few food platters being made available, it is important for an employer to consider employees with certain religious beliefs or dietary requirements so that their needs can be accommodated. An employer does not want to be dealing with a complaint that they have excluded certain groups of employees, but rather to ensure that it is an inclusive event and nobody goes hungry!
